BC Parks Foundation is the official charitable partner for British Columbia's system of parks and protected areas. It inspires and empowers people to connect with and conserve BC's lands, waters, and wildlife.

No. Lottery ticket purchases are not eligible for charitable tax receipts. To receive a tax receipt, make a separate donation through the BC Parks Foundation donation page.

The Canada Revenue Agency generally does not treat Canadian lottery winnings as income or a capital gain. Individual circumstances can vary, so seek professional tax advice if needed.

You must be 19 years of age or older to purchase a ticket.

You do not have to be a BC resident, but you must be physically located in British Columbia at the time of purchase. Orders cannot be accepted from anyone located outside BC.

Both the 50/50 and Prize Raffle offer the same ticket packages: 1 for $10, 3 for $25, or 10 for $50. Tickets for the two events are sold separately.

Prize Raffle: A maximum of 24,600 tickets. If all tickets are sold, the odds of winning in an individual draw are 1 in 24,600.

Buying before the first Early Bird deadline makes your ticket eligible for up to five separate prize draws. This does not change its odds in any individual draw; it gives the ticket more opportunities to participate. An Early Bird winner also remains eligible for all later draws.

50/50: A maximum of 23,000 tickets. If all tickets are sold, the odds are 1 in 23,000. If fewer are sold, the odds are 1 in the number of tickets sold.

No. Your registered ticket numbers are generated by the Random Number Generator hosted by Raffle Nexus. Specific numbers cannot be requested.

Tickets are purchased through the Raffle Nexus electronic raffle system using approved electronic payment methods, including major credit cards. Cash and cheques are not accepted for ticket purchases.

Once your transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation email listing your registered ticket numbers.

Check your spam or junk folder first. You can look up your order and resend your tickets through the Manage Order page.

All draws take place at #300–2288 Manitoba Street, Vancouver, BC V5Y 4B5. BC Parks Foundation uses the Random Number Generator hosted by Raffle Nexus to select winning ticket numbers from eligible, paid entries.

Yes. All ticket holders are welcome to attend. You do not need to be present to win.

A substitute draw will be held as soon as reasonably possible. Where required, BC Parks Foundation will seek approval from the Inspector of Gaming Control Office. The revised date will be emailed to ticket buyers and posted on WinfortheWild.ca.

BC Parks Foundation will contact winners by phone and email using the information provided at purchase. Winners will be posted on WinfortheWild.ca after they have been contacted.

Winners must provide the original confirmation email showing the winning ticket number. Non-cash prizes may be delivered electronically, picked up at the BC Parks Foundation office, or mailed, as applicable.

The 50/50 winner is paid by cheque, which may take 5 to 7 business days to issue.

Yes. As required by the gaming licence, a winner's name, ticket number, prize won, and draw date will be published and made available upon request. By purchasing a ticket, you consent to this required release.

By accepting a prize, a winner also consents to the release of their name and city and grants BC Parks Foundation permission to use that information for winner announcements and promotional purposes, except where prohibited by law. See the lottery privacy addendum for more information.

Only people 19 or older may purchase tickets. If a winning ticket bears a minor's name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor's parent, legal guardian, or trustee.

BC Parks Foundation will make reasonable attempts to contact each winner. If a winner cannot be reached, the winning ticket number will be published and the prize may be claimed for up to 60 days after the draw. After that, the prize will be handled as directed by the Inspector of Gaming Control Office.

No. BC Parks Foundation staff, Board members, and anyone living in their immediate households are not eligible to participate or win.

No. Prize Raffle prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. They are also subject to the redemption windows, blackout dates, and conditions stated on WinfortheWild.ca and provided to each winner.

Money received from 50/50 ticket sales is divided evenly: half goes to one winner and half supports BC Parks Foundation.

There are 23,000 tickets available. If every ticket is sold, sales total $145,000 and the winner receives $72,500. The jackpot is not guaranteed; the winner receives half the value of tickets actually sold.

The Prize Raffle features five prizes with a combined fair market value of $40,262.82: the Sporting Life x Coleman Ultimate Outdoors Package, a Big White Ski Adventure for four, a Whistler Adventure for two, a Rocky Mountaineer GoldLeaf journey for two, and the grand-prize seven-night Haida Gwaii Experience for two. Winners are selected at random from eligible ticket entries. A ticket that wins an Early Bird prize remains eligible for all later draws. All tickets purchased before a draw deadline have an equal chance of winning in that draw, regardless of purchase date.

Your information is used to administer the lottery, contact and pay winners, meet regulatory obligations, and communicate about the lottery. Buying a ticket does not automatically enroll you in marketing communications. Read the lottery privacy addendum and the BC Parks Foundation Privacy Policy.
