These House Rules govern two separate licensed gaming events conducted by BC Parks Foundation: a prize raffle and a 50/50 percentage draw. Tickets for the two events are sold separately. By purchasing a ticket for one or both gaming events you agree to these House Rules.
Any matter not addressed in these House Rules will be resolved at the discretion of BC Parks Foundation, in compliance with the IGCO's Licensed Charitable Gaming Event Terms and Conditions.
If there is a conflict between these House Rules and the IGCO's Licensed Charitable Gaming Event Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions will take precedence and must be followed.
1 Tickets
- Ticket purchasers must be 19 years of age or older.
- Ticket purchasers must be physically located in British Columbia at the time of purchase.
- Tickets are available online at WinfortheWild.ca or can be ordered over the phone at 236-471-1771.
- Once the transaction is complete, purchasers will receive a confirmation email listing their registered ticket numbers, generated by a Random Number Generator hosted by Raffle Nexus. Specific numbers cannot be requested, as numbers are generated randomly.
- All ticket sales are final. Once a ticket has been purchased, refunds will not be granted. The only exception would be in the unlikely event that the lottery is cancelled, at which point the rules and guidelines of the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) will be followed for reimbursement to all ticket buyers. The liability of the licensee is limited to the purchase price of the ticket or tickets.
- The number of tickets available in each price category may change, but the total number of tickets for sale and the odds of winning will not.
- The following individuals are not eligible to participate or to win a prize: members of the BC Parks Foundation Board of Directors, BC Parks Foundation staff, and anyone living in their immediate households.

- All ticket holders and members of the public are welcome to attend any draw. Presence at the draw is not a condition of winning a prize.
- Upon the conclusion of each sales period, BC Parks Foundation will use the Random Number Generator hosted by Raffle Nexus to randomly select the winning ticket number or numbers from among the numbers associated with tickets purchased and paid for. The result of the draw is final and binding.
- If a situation causes a delay or prevents a draw from occurring, BC Parks Foundation will conduct a substitute draw as soon as reasonably possible and, where required, will seek approval from the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) for the revised draw date. Notice of the substitute date will be sent by email to all ticket buyers and posted at WinfortheWild.ca. If a draw cannot be held and the gaming event is cancelled, ticket buyers will be refunded the purchase price of their tickets in accordance with the requirements of the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO). Refund enquiries may be directed to the contact listed in Section 7.
- Winners will be posted at WinfortheWild.ca within 10 days of the applicable draw date and provided to any individual who requests it, after each winner has been contacted.
5 Winners
- Winners are automatically notified by email through the Raffle Nexus system immediately following the draw, with BC Parks Foundation following up by phone and email to provide instructions on how to claim the prize.
- Winners must provide the original confirmation email showing the winning ticket number.
- Winners of non-cash prizes will be given the option of having their prize delivered electronically, picked up in person at the BC Parks Foundation office, or mailed, whichever is applicable to the prize.
- The 50/50 winner will be paid by cheque, which may take 5 to 7 business days to issue. The cheque may be picked up at the BC Parks Foundation office or sent to an alternative agreed location.
- BC Parks Foundation will make reasonable attempts to contact each prize winner using the contact information provided at the time of purchase. If a winner cannot be reached, the winning ticket number will be published at WinfortheWild.ca.
- If a prize is unclaimed within 60 days following the applicable draw date, the prize (or its cash equivalent) will be awarded in another BC Parks Foundation licensed gaming event within 12 months of the original draw date. If BC Parks Foundation does not hold another licensed gaming event within that 12-month period, the prize (or its cash equivalent) will instead be donated to a different registered charity in British Columbia within the same 12-month period.
- BC Parks Foundation is responsible for any mandatory taxes and fees associated with the prizes. Winners are responsible for all costs not expressly listed as part of the prize, including personal expenses, incidentals, insurance and travel outside the stated prize package.
- Winners consent to the release of their names by the licensee.
- If a winning ticket bears a minor’s name, the prize will be lawfully delivered to the minor’s parent, legal guardian or trustee.
- Given that each ticket is assigned a unique number and the Raffle Nexus system selects a single winning ticket per draw, a tie is not expected to occur. In the unlikely event of a system error resulting in an apparent tie, BC Parks Foundation will conduct a supplementary draw among the affected tickets using the Raffle Nexus random number generator to determine a single winner.
